Brian's Bit

You may have gathered that I don't use whinedoze as my OS of choice...

As you are here, I may as well say just a little about myself... I'm years old, and in what is laughingly called my spare time I sit and do what I do at work all day - stare at a computer screen...

My current job is as a Help Desk agent for an Internet Service Provider, with a part time job as a projectionist in a local cinema. I also spend many a long hour reading newsgroups - but not when I am at work.

That's where I do my WWW surfing... ;-) - although less so now that I have ADSL at home!

The newsgroup I tend to hang around the most is alt.fan.pratchett, where many a merry quip or jest from the keyboards of the massed ranks of fans of the works of someone known only as Terry Pratchett, may be found. And some postings by yours truly [1]

There are some other people out there, who also read alt.fan.pratchett. Some of them have home pages, very few of which I have actually seen. However, if you are of a masochistic bent (oo-err, missus!), you could do worse than check out alt.fan.alt-fan-pratchett, which is not, and hopefully never will be, a news group...
